Fine architecture can be found in this place, such as the city’s Cathedral (Catedral Basilica de la Asuncion) and the beautiful Government Palace, which interior patios boasts five impressive murals by Osvaldo Barra, disciple of the Mexican muralist Diego Rivera, and the main square (La Plaza de Armas or Exedra) – all invaluable architectural jewels.




In order to preserve the historic legacy of the railroads in the city, the local government set up streetcars routes, with guides who explain to visitors the historic, artistic and cultural wealth of Aguascalientes.
