It has beautiful colonial architecture such as its Baroque Cathedral and its 18th century Government Palace. Chihuahua has one of the most spectacular landscapes in Mexico: Sierra Tarahumara and it's Copper Canyon. Visitors can also enjoy outdoor activities and cultural walks related to its history, as well as its rich culinary tradition. Quinta Gameros University Cultural Center

Quinta Gameros University Cultural Center

Built between 1907 and 1910, it was used as the official residence of Venustiano Carranza, and also served as a military barracks, prison and hospital.

Currently, it is an important cultural site of the city, where cultural activities such as exhibitions, workshops and concerts are held.

The Cathedral

With a construction time of more than 100 years, the Cathedral is undoubtedly the emblematic building of the destination. Its facade is one of the best examples of colonial baroque.
Inside there are 2 major altars as well as its monumental organ.

Casa Chihuahua

Casa Chihuahua

Formerly known as the Federal Palace of Chihuahua, it is an 18th-century building. It served as a defensive fort against the French invasion.
It was currently restored as a museum of travelling exhibitions.

Government Palace

Government Palace

Built between 1882 and 1892, it is designed with neoclassical architecture.
On its ground floor, there are murals painted by Aaron Piña Mora.

The city of Chihuahua has a great variety of dishes, among which meat-based ones stand out, due to the raising of high-quality cattle from the Hereford Brangus, Angus and Charolais class; among others. Generally, the cuts are accompanied with baked potato, different spices and roasted onion.

Other traditional dishes are red chilli with dried meat, Mexican or egg machaca, past chilli with meat or cheese and flour tortillas.
