Cozumel receives first cruise after COVID-19 closure

On June 16, Cozumel Island received the Adventure of the Seas cruise ship, from the Royal Caribbean line from Nassau, in The Bahamas, one of the busiest stops in the world for cruise ships.

It was indicated that the cruise, with capacity for 3,100 passengers, arrived with around 1,200 tourists.

The secretary of tourism reported that health bubbles would be applied to passengers, that is, all prevention protocols, before allowing their disembarkation.

The cruise line requires that every passenger over the age of 16 be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The rest will need a medical test.
